A Charleston Elopement: Yacht Edition

In January of 2020, just as I was hearing about this mysterious illness in China we would later learn of as COVID, I had the honor of being a part of this amazing editorial session. I always love working with Something Borrowed K & S, but this one felt different. It had magic. Little did I know that it would be one of the last sessions I would do for so long. It was my first time working with many of vendors and my first time working with the beautiful Olivia. As I was checking the back of my camera, I knew we weren’t creating some amazing art. The team of vendors were overjoyed when we discovered we would be features in Charleston Wedding Magazine IN PRINT! But, this ended up being one of the many things COVID would take from us. Before it could be published, we ended up in lockdown and the magazine had to re-calibrate in the new and unchartered market. I truly feared these images would never see the light beyond my computer screen.

You may look at this dress and think just wow. Where can you get one? You can’t. Krisdee & Sarah have an amazing friend that finds little treasures like this at vintage markets. This is a vintage dress! It was so tiny we had to find the tiniest woman to fit into it. But man. Isn’t it gorgeous?!

This week, we found out that it would indeed be published (see it here). It wasn’t where we had originally hoped, but it felt so good to know it would be seen.
